Samba rice is a different variant of rice. Do you know Basmathi rice (The one that is long)? Well, samba is a shorter rice with a mildly rougher texture.

I think the type of dhal might vary a bit. Sri Lankan dhal curries are also very thick with reduced gravy and every Asian country has its own blend of spices so it might taste different. I want to travel one day and experience it all!
